Learner Agreement:
2024/25 Academic Year 

Declaration 


I have accepted your conditional offer to attend the Football Education Programme, which commences on [start date]


I understand that the offer for the Level 3 programme is currently conditional and that I must achieve the minimum of four GCSE’s grade 9-4, or a Level 2 Sport qualification at Merit or above plus either English or Maths GCSE grade 9-4 to secure my place on the course.

 

I accept that Bradford City FC Community Foundation reserves the right to enrol students onto the course without these grades at their discretion and subject to clearance from the education provider, League Football Education. 


As part of the Football and Education Programme, all Bradford City FC Community Foundation students are required to purchase Bradford City training wear. Students are required to wear the correct kit when representing Bradford City, including training, match days. Failure to wear the correct kit may result in the student being sent home. Details of how to purchase the kit pack will be sent soon, with an indicative cost of approximately £125. 


I understand that, as a further condition of the offer, I must purchase the training kit pack for the Football and Education Programme for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Learner Code Of Conduct

It is the purpose of this code to help create an atmosphere that promotes the best possible learning environment, one characterised by self-respect and by respect for others (fellow students and staff) and the facilities. 

Bradford City Community Foundation (BCCF) and League Football Education (LFE) believe such an environment provides an equal opportunity for all to benefit from the educational process. In a productive environment, responsible behaviour is expected at all times, and as such, students have a responsibility to: 

Club Representation 

  • Be aware that you will be wearing the club badge and therefore representing Bradford City Football Club. 

  • Behave responsibly with social awareness, adhering to the general code of conduct at all times. The damaging of the club reputation will not be tolerated under any circumstances. 

  •  Never publicly criticise, or bring into disrepute, Bradford City Football Club or Bradford City Community Foundation. Keeping personal opinions to oneself, including on social networking platforms. 

  • Behave with dignity, respect and in a mature and responsible manner during all fixtures played for the club home or away. A failure to do so will result in suspension or banning from fixtures until informed otherwise. 

General 

  • Wear the official Bradford City FC training wear on a day-to-day basis with a tracksuit, t-shirt and lanyard during education and training shorts and training t-shirt when training. 

  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, ensuring that all kit is clean and presentable on a daily basis. 

  • Treat everyone politely and with courtesy. 

  • Avoid actions, which may cause harm to others including any form of personal abuse. 

  • Avoid behaviour or supporting behaviour, which could lead to criminal prosecution (including use of illegal substances or alcohol). 

  • Treat all aspects of BCCF's site and environment with care and respect, avoiding damage or abuse. 

  • Take care and consider the safety of others.  Follow health & safety regulations strictly. 

Education

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of each lesson and be ready to start the lesson on time. Wear official Bradford City FC tracksuit to education sessions. 

  • Listen to the tutor and other learners and always allow others to learn. 

  • Not consume any food in the classrooms at any time. 

  • Notify your Tutor in advance where absence or lateness is unavoidable. 

  • Apply yourself with total commitment to all of your courses. 

  • Complete all tasks set and meet the deadlines presented on the online platform and maintain a responsible attitude towards learning at all times. 

  • Avoid any form of plagiarism in coursework or exams. 

  • Submit all set work on time, meet coursework deadlines and, if absolutely necessary, negotiate an extended deadline in advance of that deadline. 

  • Put mobile phones in the storage unit prior to the lesson starting. 

  •  Not use the laptops for any purpose other than college work. 

  •  Treat all learning equipment with the utmost respect and accept responsibility for any damages as a result of vandalism, misconduct or negligence.

Training/Matchday 

  • Be up to date with education assignments in order to take part in training sessions and fixtures. Wear official Bradford City FC team wear during sessions. 

  • Arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the session, in order to be changed and ready for the session to commence on time. 

  • Report all injuries to a member of the coaching team prior to the session. Where possible it is important that the player should inform the member of staff how long they will be injured for. 

  •  Adhere to the laws of the game. 

  • Display and promote high standards of behaviour both in fixtures and training. Promote fair play during training and fixtures. 

  • Always respect the match officials. 

  • Never publicly criticise the match officials. 

  • Never engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour that will reflect badly on the programme. 

  • Never engage in bullying, intimidation or harassment. 

  • Speak to teammates, opposition and coach/manager with respect. 

  • Win or lose with dignity. Shake hands with the opposing team and the referee at the end of every game. 

 

This is not an exhaustive list and learners will be reminded of this code upon commencement of the course. 

Any serious breach of your obligations under the Learner Code of Conduct will lead to disciplinary action as agreed between Bradford City Community Foundation and League Football Education (please see Learner handbook for disciplinary procedure). League Football Education reserves the right to contact parents/guardians of Learners if this code is breached.

The personal information you provide to Bradford City Community Foundation may be shared with providers and partners who are funding the Football and Education Programme. Personal information you provide will not be shared with providers and partners outside of the Football and Education Programme.
