Policy Aims and Purpose
The following provides a framework of best practice and guidance that must be adhered to by Bradford City FC Community Foundation staff during sessions that require changing clothes to protect from safeguarding issues.
Changing Rooms
Male and female participants must never be in the changing room area together.
For communal changing rooms with cubicles:
Female participants will enter the changing rooms first while male participants remain in a waiting area.
When female participants enter, they will be supervised by a female member of staff who will check if that only one female enters a cubicle.
Once changed, female participants will leave and begin the session, allowing the males to enter the changing room area, supervised by a male member of staff.
Once changed, male participants will join the session.
Female participants will leave the session first, to shower and change in a cubicle.
Once all females have changed and have returned to the waiting area, the male participants will be allowed to shower and change.
Sessions will be closed to public members.
For separate sex changing rooms with cubicles:
Male and females can enter the separate changing rooms, supervised by a member of staff of the same sex. Once changed they can start and end the session together before returning to the changing rooms.
Sessions will be closed to public members.
For separate sex changing rooms without cubicles:
Participants will be briefed that there are no individual cubicles
